Product Description
Douglas Fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii) is the workhorse structural softwood of the international construction trade — exceptionally stiff and strong for its weight, with a straight, even grain and a warm reddish-tan heartwood. It holds fasteners well, machines cleanly, and stays dimensionally stable once kiln-dried, which is why specifiers reach for it on load-bearing work where a lighter softwood will not do.
